Improvement of Quality of Non-Formal Education – KROUZKY, o.p.s.

The aim of the project is to improve the informal education of pupils in key competences through the education of the staff of the organization KROUŽKY, o.p.s. The project activities aim to improve the quality of competencies of the applicant's lecturers and volunteers by sharing experience and good practice between the applicant's staff and the external entities/ professional lecturers of the cooperating organizations. Within the project implementation, the applicant's staff will acquire competencies for non-formal education and pupil development.

Establishment of Excellent Research Team for Cell Therapy and Translational Medicine (CETRAT)

Requested budget: 249.894.000 CZK

Newly established research team with material, technical and technological background of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine will focus on utilization of processes of cell biology for translational medicine. Strategic partnership with University of Minnesota and engagement of key foreign researcher will secure international outreach of the implemented research and enable strengthening of professional links to the cutting-edge foreign scientific centers. Project outputs have a high application potential especially in the area of new therapies and translational medicine.

Establishment Modernization and Enlargement of Educational Background of Areál Jinonice (Increasing Quality of Educational Infrastructure of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University)

Aim of the project is to modernize and enlarge learning spaces and background for education in Areál Jinonice. These aims are in accordance with aims of the Operational Programme Research, development and education, SPR UK and DZ FSV UK so that it is possible to achieve goals of complementary ESF project. Part of the project is acquisition of technologies which support current tendencies, i.e. achieving the level of world top universities in terms of the way and conditions of teaching. Important element of the project is establishment of laboratories for practical lessons and completing equipment of the library at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Increasing Quality of Education at Charles University and Its Relevance for the Needs of Labour Market)

Requested budget: 250.000.000 CZK

Aim of the project is to increase quality of education at Charles University and profiling of educational activities in the way which secures their relevance for the needs of labour market. Development activities at individual faculties of Charles University are focused on support of entrepreneurship and strengthening of students’ skills in alignment with the demand and prediction of future development on the labour market. Internationalization of teaching, adjustment and creation of study programmes together with increasing the quality of university’s strategical management will result in higher success rate of the students.

Modernization of Infrastructure for Master Studies at the Faculty of Life Sciences of Charles University (Mgr. infrastruktura)

Modernization of machine equipment and reconstruction of background in frame of proposed Master study programmes shall create conditions for education of top experts fully skilled in modern approaches in key biological disciplines. Acquiring practical experience with state of the art instrumentation will enable their following full usage for complex analyses of examined objects in graduates’ research itself, which will lead to strengthening competitiveness of the research not only at the Faculty of Life Sciences of Charles University but also at other public and private research institutions where graduates from the faculty work.

Construction and Equipment of the Center of Theory and Practice of Education in Medical and Non-medical Specialization (Modernization of Teaching Space of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine)

Aim of the project is to build a workplace focused on preparation, realization and evaluation of examination of students of this faculty and at the same time the workplace focused on training and development of didactic and presentation skills of pedagogues and students. Based on enlargement of professionally made interactive and simulation teaching, future graduates will learn about modern methods with the newest knowledge in their specializations, using modern interactive and simulation teaching devices.

Center of Medical Genomics for Rare Diseases (CeLeGVO)

Requested budget: 357.955.000 CZK

Aim of the project is to complete equipment and support excellent research teams focused on research of genomics for rare diseases and transmission of resulting knowledge into innovative therapeutic processes of translational medicine in frame of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. There will be a support of excellent teams composed of the highest quality scientists in their field and promising postgraduate students with the aim to develop new therapeutic instruments.

Dysregulation and Malign Transformation of Immunity System in the Child Age (DysTrans)

Aim of the project is to enlarge existing activities of excellent research center CLIP (Childhood Leukemia Investigation Prague) of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and support their connection to cutting-edge international research in the field of hematology, oncology and immunology with the focus on child patients with disorders of regulation and/or stability of immunity system - leukemia, anemia, immunodeficiency, autoimmune diseases and others.

Czech Platform of Single Cell Analysis for Medicine of New Generation (SingCell)

Requested budget: 151.161.878 CZK

Specific aim of the project is to strengthen and improve available experience and specialization concerning single cell analysis in the Czech Republic. SingCell is a joint effort of four Czech research centers belonging to leading European laboratories in the field of the single cell analysis. Support of SingCell will enable to use experience of team members, contribute to exchange of knowledge among partners and cooperating laboratories and will lead to strengthening of existing teams by further cooperators bringing missing specializations. Its important part is a support of other Czech research laboratories by SingCell team members by organizing practical courses, international conferences on the single cell analysis and sharing new knowledge with scientific community and industry. Last but not least, the project aims to strengthen international profile of excellent science in the Czech Republic as well as crossborder cooperation with top foreign research centers in the field of the single cell analysis, many of which will participate in implementation of SingCell project.

The aim of the project is to increase the quality of education through a modernisation and acquisition of equipment for teaching at faculties outside Prague and parts in parts of Charles University in cross-sectional areas in connection with the innovation in bachelor´s and master´s degree programs. These activities will effectively support interventions finances within ESF project The Increase of Quality of Education on Charles University and its relevance for the needs of the labor market and similar activities implemented in the previous programming period.

Improvement of the Strategic Management at Charles University in the Field of Human Resources in R&D (HR AWARD)

The project focuses on strengthening the strategic pillars of development of Charles University Prague. It includes (i) institutional setting of conditions for human resources management and development in accordance with international quality rules and HR Award, (ii) setting up an internal quality evaluation of the achieved results of scientific activities and (iii) development of activities institutionally focused on the popularization and further use of research results carried out at Charles University. The result will be an effective setting of strategic processes of university development.

Improvement of Internationalization in R&D on Charles University through the Support of MSCA-IF Projects (The Mobility of Employees of Charles University MSCA-IF Project)

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the international cooperation and human resources development within the Charles University. This will be done mainly through the support of arrivals and departures of R&D employees. The mobility will be implemented on the basis of quantity Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions – Individual Fellowship projects, which have been approved by the European Commission and have been included in the so-called list of no money projects.

The Creation of Infrastructure for Centre of e-learning

Requested budget: 15.880.487 CZK

The aim of the project is to create a technical background and purchase equipment for the e-learning center at Charles University. As part of the project, study rooms and laboratories, an AV workplace and a digitization center will be put into operation. Adaptation of the existing premises of the Central Library and completion of the network infrastructure are expected. For the implementation of the project, the Central Library has the necessary space and is able to ensure the implementation of the project and staff. The project is complementary to the project submitted to PO2 IP1 SC1-4.

International Mobility of R&D Employees of Charles University (MMVP)

The main objective of the project is an improvement of conditions for teaching linked with the development of human resources in the field of research and development on Charles University by supporting the international mobility of research employees. Through the arrival of postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers from abroad and the departure of Czech researchers-juniors and seniors for work stays at foreign research institutions, the professional growth of these workers will be strengthened, as well as the development of Charles University in the field of Human resources.
